Formal testing of the new medical device required a short, simple but accurate user guide for testers to run hundreds of tests.
The instructions had to show not just the screen clicks, but all the physical steps before, during and after the testing cycle.
Working with clinical staff for input and feedback, I created a step-by-step guide with precise “spot” illustrations from photographs I took of people actually doing the tasks.
The guide was improved over time with feedback from the testing and critical to the product testing phase to gain FDA approval.
